Little Hands Orphanage

Little Hands (Manos Pequeñas in Spanish) is a non-profit, non-government orphanage in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico which was founded in 2014. The orphanage exists entirely from the financial support, the prayers, and the work of volunteers who have labored much to make sure that homes could be made for the needy children of Tecate.

The property was purchased in October of 2014 and it had two existing buildings which were renovated in order to accommodate the children and their caregivers. In 2021, construction began on a third home, which was completed in 2022. The orphanage is located in a rural area outside of Tecate and very close to the Mexico United States border. The orphanage is entirely off-grid and runs primarily on a solar electrical system.

At Little Hands, it is our goal to shine the light and love of Jesus Christ into the hearts and souls of needy children. We plan to continue doing so by providing a stable, secure, and Christ-centered home-life; a home in which they have their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs met. As long as the Lord entrusts them to us, we desire to raise up children who are well-equipped physically, mentally, and spiritually to face adulthood as independent, well-rounded, and proficient individuals, mentoring them and help them grow to be better equipped to be leaders in their community, their church, and their homes.
