Join the ICFG for another exciting workshop weekend, this time in Richmond, Virginia! We will share in a weekend of learning from God’s word, service, team building, and fun, continuing to learn about what it means to be unashamed! We would love to have you join us May 10-11! Sign up at the link in our bio or at ICFG.org.
A blessed weekend was shared by many at the ICFG workshop in Vista, CA this past weekend! We shared the importance of being unashamed, bold in our faith and in sharing the gospel. Sessions and activities were focused around what it means to be unashamed, characters in the Bible who were unashamed, and ways to concisely articulate the gospel message, including what the gospel means to us.
There were very few hands raised when the question was asked, “how many of you have shared the gospel with a stranger in the past week?”
➡️ What would your answer be? How can we be effective witnesses for the Lord?
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16
A big thank you to @thelightsevent and Warm Beach Camp for the warm welcome to the ICFG work team. Though we were a small group this year, those that were able to come were still blessed to join together to serve the WBC community in this way. The event focuses the joy of the Christmas season around the true reason we celebrate - Jesus our Savior coming to the earth. Beginning each evening with corporate devotions and prayer for the event refocuses the mindset of each volunteer on the reason we are there - to express the love and message of Jesus to the hundreds of cars that attend each evening. Last evening, over 850 cars came through and were blessed by this special event. Consider setting time aside next December to serve in this way!
Don’t miss an opportunity to fellowship with ICFG in Southern California! We are still accepting sign ups for our winter workshop in Vista, CA on January 18-19, 2025. We are looking forward to a beautiful weekend of learning, growth, service, and fellowship! Sign up at the link in our bio or at icfg.org.

We deeply apologize to everyone who was planning on coming to the fall workshop on October 12-13 in Beverly Hills, Michigan. Unfortunately, we had very few sign ups, and conflicts with Canadian Thanksgiving and other events have led us to make the decision to postpone this workshop until likely the spring. The new date is yet to be announced.
Instead, we hope that you will consider supporting the Richmond, Virginia congregation with their event at Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah mountains on October 13. This will be a great opportunity to see some beautiful fall colors in the mountains! Attached are some pictures of the splendor you may be able to see if you attend! Also, please also put the dates for our winter workshop in your calendar!: January 18-19 in sunny Southern California.

This team of youth from all over the United States and Canada joined together to learn about contentment, gleaning from the examples of many characters in the Bible, including our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We also had the opportunity to serve a recovery program in Wooster with painting, landscaping, and other yard work. We are thankful for the beautiful weather to be able to serve!
”Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.“

Hello everyone! We want to focus on the chairman position this week for ICFG. The chairman, as like any other chairman or president, is the leader and director of an organization. We are looking specifically for a chairman to lead the ICFG and its functions. A good ICFG chairman is able to utilize their resources to accomplish goals and have a strong vision for the organization.....to ultimately have a desire to lead the ICFG and CFG youth of our churches to build the foundations of their lives on the only strong and everlasting foundation offered to us by Jesus Christ. We want everyone who reads this to consider someone, or themselves to think about this position. Please message us if you are interested and would like more details!
Hello everyone! Many positions need to be filled in the ICFG organization currently, and today's post will be an explanation of the Project Nehemiah Director position that is currently in need of a volunteer:
In an effort to help create awareness to the needs of the smaller churches in the Apostolic Christian Church, Project Nehemiah is an endeavor created by the ICFG with the purpose of informing the churches of the ACC and coordinating the youth to help smaller churches with needs that arise. This includes planning visits to these congregations, helping with smaller projects and requests in smaller churches, and assisting with any programs that are running (e.g., VBS, community dinners, etc.).
The Project Nehemiah Director will be the main point of contact for these visitations/aid and will have several Project Nehemiah Assistants who will be focused on specific geographical locations for the Apostolic Christian Churches. This opportunity will allow for more concentrated efforts within a given area, and gear that aid to locals of that area.
If this position is of interest to you, please reach out to us to get more details or to find out information on other positions available. We also currently need volunteers for:
-Homestay Coordinator
-Missions Representative
-Operation Prayer Coordinator
-Chairman
Hello everyone! We have some positions in ICFG that need to be filled! These positions are Homestay Coordinator, Project Nehemiah, Missions Representative, Operation Prayer Coordinator, and last but not least.....the chairman! Please prayerfully consider these positions. If you are looking for ways to make a difference and a godly impact in the youth and young adults, this is your opportunity! Message us if you are interested in more information.
The Old Testament is rich with wisdom and lessons we can learn from people and events in history recorded in scripture. When God uses imperfect sinful people to carry out His will throughout history, His grace is very evident, and His mercy on His people, The Nation of Israel, will make you do a double take. Don't disregard the Old Testament in your daily scripture reading time. Incorporate those texts into your reading and studying. Remember.....the Apostle Paul, and other texts in scripture reference the Old Testament. It is extremely important to understand the Old Testament in order to understand the New Testament to its fullest extent.
If you read before this verse in Colossians, Paul is telling the Colossae church to "put on the new self". He then goes on to explain the things we put off, and the things we put on with this new self.
Sometimes when you ask a Christian, "What are you supposed to do as a Christian"? The responses you get are "Read the Bible, pray, and obey God's commandments". These are definitely good practices that we as Christians should still observe, but it goes even farther than that. What Paul is pointing out here is to LIVE as new creations. Our life as "God's chosen ones, holy and beloved" is not just devoted to reading scripture and praying, which again, are very important practices to guide us in our life, but to LIVE out our lives in Christ everyday in whatever good or bad circumstances we are in with whatever stranger/co-worker/friend/family is around us. Paul says in EVERYTHING you do in word or deed.....our entire life should be a living and breathing example of a man/woman born again as a new creation, set apart from the world and our old self. When we work, study, learn, rest, eat, drink, spend our free time with friends, and engage in different hobbies/activities we enjoy.......anything we do in our lives......we do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through Him. Go and be the unique person you are in Christ, and live your life as the ambassador of heaven that you are in every way possible.
Do you have a passion and vision for what the ICFG can do for the youth of the ACC? How to inspire the sharing of the gospel? Do you know that your mission field is at your job or at your school?
The Missionary Chairperson’s responsibilities/privilege is to live out their passion for spreading the gospel domestically in everyday life to bring the gospel to far-away places. They support and spear-head the Missionary committee that is comprised of: Operation Prayer Coordinator, Project Nehemiah (vacant) and the Homestay Coordinator (vacant).
Our world is dying and those of us who follow Jesus Christ are called to bring the gospel to those around us. Encouraging one another to - Love our fellow people by telling, those that would listen, of how God loves us and has given us a gift by His grace to be saved from eternal separation. The Gospel is a message of salvation from the condemnation of the Law - it is a message of Love. We are called to Love God and Love others - and we can only do this when we are seeking God and growing in our understanding of how much He Loves us.
If you feel like you could fit into this position as part of the ICFG Committee and have a vision and passion for how to hit the ground running with what do in the future of spreading the gospel here and abroad - you can reach us at [email protected]
Some helpful tips to help us read scripture correctly! First......a little summary about The Bible:
The Bible is a collection of 66 books with scriptures that are put through the rigorous process of canonization by biblical scholars and writers to give us the most accurate collection of God's Word that we have today. The Bible, is derived from the Latin and Greek word "biblia" meaning "book". These 66 books were derived from copies of the original manuscripts written in the ancient Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic languages. From these manuscripts, they are translated to different languages so people of all nations can read and understand God's Word, which is still happening to this day. The number of copies we have found tracing back to the original manuscripts is incredible, and the dating of these copies is getting closer and closer to the original written manuscripts. Please research on your own, the great process of getting the different Bible translations we have today!
The Old Testament consists of The Pentateuch, historical manuscripts, wisdom/poetry literature, and books written by prophets. The New Testament contains The Synoptic Gospels, and The Acts of the early Church. It also contains the letters written by the apostle Paul to the early churches, and letters written by other authors. The last book, Revelation, was written by John describing the revelation given by God to John. The incredible thing, is that as you read each and every book of The Bible, each book in some way points to Jesus. Some are easier to see, and some take a little digging to see how the writings point to Christ, especially in The Old Testament.
As we read scripture in different parts of The Bible, we need to read it IN CONTEXT OF THE WRITING to get the correct take away from what we read. Scripture has different authors, cultures, audiences, and are written in different times in history. This directly affects how we read the passages. We need to take these helpful considerations shown in the illustrations, to arrive at the correct interpretation of what we are reading. This will help us understand scripture better, and help us apply it to our lives in the correct way.
The great I AM, who spoke creation into existence.....The Messiah, who took on flesh to die and redeem the people who despised Him.....The Spirit of YAHWEH, who dwells in the sons and daughters of The Living God, justified and set apart for Himself. Christian.....this God who was just described, chose you who are weak, foolish, low and despised, forsaken and abandoned by the world to shame the strong, wise, influential, and in high regard according to the world. YOU have been chosen by God out of this world to bring about His will. YOU have been given the privilege to bring about the message of reconciliation, The Gospel. YOU were appointed by the God of ALL creation as HIS ambassadors and representatives of heaven. As scripture says..."How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!".
Christian.....God chose you so that you could not boast....but to instead, boast in Him! How amazing is the fact that when we open our eyes and rise from our beds every morning, we are ready and equipped to be who we are called to be despite how we feel, or what the world says about us. We are ready to wrestle against, as scripture says, ".... the rulers, authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places". Please be encouraged Christian, that God did not call the self justified, but justified the ones He called.....the ones who have received the Lord Jesus by grace through faith.
Our October Prayer Focus! For more information on deeper ways to pray each month, message us and we’ll add you to our monthly email. Ways to pray:
• that Maldvivians access to the scriptures would be easy and without conflict as they seek ways to read from the gospel in secret.
• for the people there who are among the least evangelized to on earth, that the government systems will open their hearts to allow more outside influence to come in and make room to share for Christ
• for the misinterpretation people have of the Bible, political leaders use the term “Christian” to insult each other, so pray that the true name and nature of Jesus can be made known to this nation!
• for the intense persecution of the believers there, for their protection and courage in the face of great trials... and for opportunities to grow and spread their faith.
Our June prayer focus! If you are interested in joining our email with more details each month of how to pray, let us know! Ways to pray for Israel:
- A praise that within Israel the interest in the gospel is increasing, notably among Jews, and especially in the last few years. The numbers of Messianic Jews are rising rapidly, which is such a praise that the gospel is hitting the hearts of growing numbers!
- The Israeli-Arab conflict in the Holy Land which moved to the next level a bit ago, and has been intensifying since 1948. There is competing claims and agendas and both sides want to claim to the land, and all of the human efforts to resolve this conflict have failed. But, pray that both sides can find true reconciliation and genuine peace through Jesus!
- the Jewish mindset toward Christianity, which has often been hostile and a big barrier to overcome. The "Christian" nation has been viewed as a destroyer of the Jewish nation (such as persecution from the Holocaust, etc). Pray that the true gospel may be understood as a fulfillment of their Jewish heritage and that a turn to Jesus will come from them!
And we are already in May! Some ways to pray for those in China is: -That the Church's spiritual fervor, even in the midst of persecution, may not slow down, and will continue to grow and forget the distractions coming in way.
-That God's Sovereign hand will work through the Chinese government, and any forms of wickedness will be opposed and that kindness will come forth for the oppressed.
- For the population growth in China not to increase restrictions on the people. With the current "one-child policy" the Chinese perform a minimum of thirteen million abortions per year(!!!!!!) and it is quickly becoming a widely accepted form of birth control, many infants if not aborted are abandoned or kidnapped and trafficked.
We encourage you to take time and intercede in prayer this next month!
Please message us if you’d like monthly updates on ways to pray!
This Saturday starting at 3pm we will be having our first online ICFG event. We are looking forward to this time to encourage & learn much to draw our minds to Christ. We hope you can join us! Link is in our bio to sign up!! We have some great speakers lined up, and we can’t wait to see what God will teach us!
Even with many things in life on hold, there are still opportunities to get involved with ICFG! If you want more information, please message us and we’d LOVE to tell you ways to serve God within ICFG!
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me."”
Isaiah 6:8
During this time, some ways to pray is for:
- People who have been infected with COVID-19 and are battling the sickness.
- The medical professionals, caregivers, and researchers responsible for fighting the new virus... that they can stay energized, healthy, and encouraged.
-Christians who are struggling to keep their focus on God, and for the Gospel to be spread through them at this time to people who need a hope!
- Pray for the business owners and families facing financial stress, that they can trust God for his faithfulness in provision.
Let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list sent out by our Operation Prayer Coordinator!
In a world full of chaos, let’s turn our eyes to Jesus. Share something positive and comment to stop and think about Christ for a moment. In a world that we have no hold on, Christ is our constant refuge, never-changing. “Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.”
Psalms 36:5
Meet the staff!
Jennifer has been with the ICFG staff for around 2 years now, as our Operation Prayer Coordinator. A little bit about her:
“Being able to work a bit behind the scenes of ICFG has been all around amazing. My knowledge of God has deepened with each of the events we’ve run, I’ve had the opportunity to stay connected with and meet people all around our churches, and I’ve loved seeing such a passion for God in the youth. It challenges me, and renews my passion more and more as I see people get more and more involved. To be cliché, I came into the group with a hope to be able to serve and grow others, but I’ve been taken aback at how much God has used ICFG to grow ME.” For more information on how to get involved in passionate prayer, email Jennifer @[email protected]
Register now for the Youth Choir Winter Event on Dec 6-8! No prior experience in youth choir is necessary to attend, and it will be a great time to get together with other young people to encourage and sing to others! More information and sign up is found in this link!

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church!
Often it is easy for us to overlook the ease we have in access to God’s word and time with other believers, but it’s important to continually life up our Brothers and Sisters in Christ who DAILY depend on God for survival against those who oppose them and their beliefs.
Continue to use the rest of your week, and longer, to pray for those persecuted. For more information visit Voice of the Martyrs.
