Bethany Villalba

    Bethany was drawn to international missions from a young age, attending missionary forums on her own as a preteen. She was especially moved by the cause of orphans and vulnerable children, as presented by missionaries from Canaan Land Ministries (CLM) in Brazil. By the time she entered high school, she felt God was calling her to minister at CLM. Because of this, she was able to tailor her language studies, college major, and post-graduate studies to the needs of CLM.

    Bethany made her first short-term visit to CLM in 1995, and God fulfilled her dream of becoming a full-time missionary at CLM in 2006, also blessing her with a Brazilian husband who grew up just a few miles away from CLM. They minister together in the local church and leadership at CLM. Juan is the president of the board of directors and Bethany coordinates the educational part of CLM's services, as well as helping with general coordination, music, and art activities.

    Juan and Bethany have two children and two grandchildren. Please pray for Bethany, her family, and her ministry in Brazil. Pray that many more lives of vulnerable children and teens can be transformed through the work being done at CLM.
