New church in Hamilton, ONT Print E-mail
HAMILTON NEW CHURCH
  
  HAMILTON ON  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."  Is 8:9
We of the Hamilton Congregation are still amazed at how the Lord worked in opening the way for us to purchase a church in Ancaster.  For the past several years we have been actively searching out possibilities for relocating, realizing that we've outgrown our present facility.  The old fire hall church, where we gathered for almost 30 years, has served us well, most of the Brothers that were instrumental in securing that location are gone to their reward.
Prior to Victoria Ave. we met at the downtown YWCA which was preceded by the Orange Hall.  During the the late 1960's and '70"s we would commute to Toronto Weston Rd. on Sundays and for midweek services we met in the living rooms of several family homes.
 
The "new" church is fifty years old, located in Ancaster, a suburb of Hamilton, and only 12 minutes from our current location.  With over
9,000 square feet of space, we have plenty of room to grow, and we look forward to the Lord blessing us that way.
 
There are many decisions to be made and work to be done.  Lord willing we hope to make the transition to our new church in late spring or early summer.  We thank the Lord for answering our prayer in allowing this to become a reality.  Our prayer now is to grow in fervor and renewed dedication as we embark on this new location.  May the Lord bless us there.
