First
Quarter, 2003
THEME: THE
FIRST CHURCH OFFICERS
INTRODUCTION:
In
the fourth quarter of 2002 we began studies of "The Early Church" based
on Acts 1-5 and the General Epistles.
In the first quarter of 2003, we continue this series, going as
far as Acts 15. Since Peter
and James were active in leadership during this period, we shall have
a number of lessons from their Epistles, plus a lesson from the one-chapter
book of Jude.
Increasingly
this cycle shows the value of a seven year program for going through the
Bible. This more leisurely
pace enables us to cover the Bible more thoroughly than at any time in
the past. The Bible will
become increasingly real to your students, making it a real "Bible Study".
