: EARLY DAYS IN CANAAN (JOSHUA, JUDGES, RUTH)THEME
INTRODUCTION: The lessons for the third quarter will be a continuation of the study of the Children of Israel. We have concluded the study of the sojourn in the wilderness and now we will consider their entry into the promised land, and the early days in Canaan. This study will be taken primarily from the books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth. Thus, the study this quarter includes lessons regarding the crossing of the Jordan River, the conquest of Jericho, Israel's first defeat as a result of sin, Gideon, Samson, Ruth, and others.
