APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH BIBLE LESSON TEACHER OUTLINE Third Quarter, 2000 THEME: THE BIBLE AND THE CHRISTIAN LIFE INTRODUCTION: This third quarter of 2000 is a topical study of the Bible and its effect upon the Christian life. We must first recognize the source of the Bible, as God's Word. We too, must recognize the theme of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments as being the salvation of mankind, restoration from a life of self-will and sin, into the good graces of a loving Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus Christ. In a time, especially as it is today, when everything is questioned and challenged, we need the prophecies and the evidence of their fulfillment (many recorded in contemporary history) to prove the authenticity of the scriptures. When this has been established and faith can build upon this foundation, we can see the plan of salvation and the steps leading to its reality and its fulfillment. If salvation is a real experience for us it must have its fruits in a spirit-led life, a life of prayer and communion, and a life of obedience and total commitment. This commitment is culminated by a true witness for the One who has cleansed us and made us whole. May each teacher particularly stress God's plan as we go from one lesson to the other in this very inspiring topical study. |
