APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH BIBLE LESSON TEACHER OUTLINE Second Quarter, 2000 THEME: The Patriarchs INTRODUCTION: This second quarter continues the study of the Book of Genesis. One lesson is a study of Isaac with his trait of peaceableness. The next lesson describes the failure of Esau and shows why he was not the proper one to carry on the lineage of faithful Abraham. This is followed be a series of four lessons on Jacob revealing the weakness in his character, his repentance, and his place in Gods plan. The remainder of the quarter deals with Joseph as he was sold into Egypt and Gods purpose in this. Joseph could tell his brethren, "God did send me before you to preserve life." Not only to preserve life for his brothers, but far more, to preserve the way for the fulfillment of Gods promises made to Adam and Eve and the generations that followed, for the real preservation of life became possible through Jesus Christ. |
